Kim Jakobsen To is a Norwegian photographer based in London, currently working primarily with portraiture. With a background as a performance artist working with gender, he is interested in performative identity and exploring modern day communities. Interested in representation of people not often photographed, he works to find a vulnerable ´thereness´ shared with the subject through the act of photographing. The images are created somewhere between documentary and constructing an environment that allows a dialogue through stillness and trust.

He is currently part of the peer forum Fields/s at the Photographers Gallery, London.
